The Central Goldfields Shire Council offers residents a range of waste and recycling services including a hard waste collection service. Council wil take away scrap metal, tools, timber, furniture and white goods. They just have to be no longer than 1.5 meter in length and no heavier than 55 kg. Hardwaste serives are available to all residents in Maryborough, Cartisbrook, Dunolly and Talbot. Collections occur on the 1st and 3rd Monday of each month and resident can put out up to 2 cubic meter of waste and pay for this using vouchers.
